Delhi Metro to Start 3 AM Service on April 5 for Soldierathon

The move is meant to ease pre-dawn travel to the PNB Soldierathon at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Overview

  • DMRC said Friday the 3 am starts on Sunday, April 5, will run only on parts of the Yellow, Blue and Violet lines.
  • Trains will run every 30 minutes from 3:00 to 6:00 am, then return to the standard Sunday timetable.
  • The early service covers Samaypur Badli–Millennium City Centre Gurugram, Dwarka Sec-21/Dwarka–Noida Electronic City/Vaishali, and Kashmere GateRaja Nahar Singh.
  • All other lines keep their usual Sunday start times, so riders should check station access and plan extra time.
  • The one-day change aims to move thousands to JLN Stadium and cut pre-dawn car traffic, in line with DMRC’s practice of adding targeted service for big events.
