- Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu visited the site and directed the Delhi Development Authority to start a phased engineering and ecological revival of the 52-acre lake and its 165-acre protected forest.
- He ordered the Delhi Jal Board to expedite repairs to the pipeline from the Dallupura sewage treatment plant to restore a steady supply of treated water that officials say failed in May and contributed to mass fish deaths.
- On-ground remedial work is already under way, including continuous de-weeding, algae removal, repair of broken boundary walls, and embankment slope strengthening using geo-textile technology.
- Planned technical measures for later phases include channelising stagnant flows, installing bioswales to boost groundwater recharge, carrying out bio-remediation, and fitting aerators and fountains; one agency has proposed Phase I completion by August 2026 and Phase II by May 2027 but those targets remain subject to implementation.
