Delhi Jal Board Maintenance to Disrupt Water Supply in Parts of Rohini and Sultanpuri on Tuesday

The board says the short outages support system cleaning to keep supply reliable.

Overview

  • The Delhi Jal Board, which began its annual flushing on Tuesday, is cleaning underground reservoirs and servicing booster pumping stations in selected zones.
  • Areas listed for April 7 include Sultanpuri, Rohini Sector-3 Pocket-F, Pocket-A-1, Pocket-B, Pocket-C, and the Filling Point and Karala Village belt.
  • Residents have been asked to store enough water in advance and to use it sparingly during the shutdown, with help available at 1916 and 23527679 or 23538495, plus Mangolpuri OHT at 27294132 or 27915531.
  • Each affected pocket is expected to face about one day of low or no supply, and normal pressure may take extra hours to return after the flush ends.
  • This routine work removes sediment from reservoirs and checks pumps for wear, and advisories indicate more maintenance is scheduled on April 8–9 for additional northwest Delhi localities.
