Delhi Government Details AYUSH Stress-Management OPDs, Pilot to Start at Five Hospitals

Services will run twice weekly at designated AYUSH facilities with a plan to expand to 11 units citywide.

Overview

  • Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh announced dedicated stress-management OPDs using AYUSH therapies for early detection and care of stress-related conditions.
  • The initial pilot will operate at A&U Tibbia College & Hospital, Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan, Dr. B. R. Sur Medical College & Hospital, and existing AYUSH units at IHBAS.
  • Clinics will open every Tuesday and Thursday during standard OPD hours, offering structured sessions targeting anxiety, burnout, sleep disorders, and psychosomatic complaints.
  • Treatments will include herbal formulations, homeopathic remedies, Panchakarma, yoga and meditation modules, pranayama, and lifestyle counseling.
  • The rollout begins with five OPDs and is planned to expand to 11 units, with goals to improve access, integrate traditional care within public hospitals, and ease pressure on tertiary centers.
