Delhi FC clinched the title Friday with a 1-1 draw at United SC in Kalyani, sealing a return to the higher-tier Indian Football League.
United SC went ahead through a Susovan Ghosh header before league top scorer Himanshu Jangra tapped in the equaliser after neat work by Akash Tirkey and Samson Keishing.
In Mumbai, FC Bengaluru United drew 1-1 with GMSC as Lijo K scored early and Shravan Shetty levelled, which sent Bengaluru up on superior goal difference over United SC.
GMSC rose to five points with the draw and stayed in I-League 2 thanks to a better head-to-head record than NEROCA FC.
United SC finished level on points with Bengaluru United but missed promotion, extending their 12-year wait to rejoin the second tier, a result that will shape budgets and recruiting plans for 2026–27.
