Overview
- On Friday the Delhi government approved Rs 33.31 crore to compensate standing-crop losses that were assessed as 100% across 4,442.41 hectares after heavy rains in August–September 2025.
- Aid is fixed at Rs 75,000 per hectare and the administration published an area-wise sanction listing allocations for Alipur, Mundka, Bawana, Najafgarh, Kapashera and other localities.
- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has directed the Revenue Department and district magistrates to begin disbursement work so direct benefit transfer payments can start next month to eligible bank accounts.
- The relief is limited to registered or recorded landowners whose crops were damaged and excludes corporate-owned land, cultivation on Gram Sabha land, and farmhouses developed as plotted properties with permanent boundary walls.
- Officials say the cash will help smallholders meet immediate costs but district-level verification must finish before transfers which may affect when individual farmers actually receive funds.
