- Officials estimate about 2.7 lakh registered workers and roughly 10 lakh people will be covered at an annual cost of around Rs 200 crore, a move meant to reduce financial strain from silicosis, respiratory and other work-related illnesses and to fill a long-standing gap in worker health protection.
