Overview
- Gupta assumed the top role on March 1, 2026, succeeding Sandeep Kumar Gupta, and is appointed through February 28, 2029.
- He has served as GAIL’s Director (Projects) since February 2022, leading work on natural gas and LPG pipelines, gas processing units, SCADA upgrades, and green-energy initiatives.
- Under his leadership, GAIL completed the Dabhol breakwater for subsidiary Konkan LNG, enabling all-weather LNG operations.
- He oversees operation and maintenance of a network exceeding 20,000 km of natural gas and LPG pipelines along with compressor stations and process plants.
- Earlier, during 32 years at Engineers India Limited, he led major projects including the Dangote refinery in Nigeria, HMEL’s Bathinda complex, GAIL’s Pata petrochemical expansion, and Mongolia’s first greenfield refinery.
