Overview
- The death count has reached five after gunmen opened fire inside the Mini Súper Ramírez in Jacona, Michoacán.
- The attackers used long and short guns to shoot people inside the store, then fled the scene.
- Municipal police and Army troops secured the area as paramedics from Jacona and Zamora treated the wounded and moved one person to a regional hospital.
- Four men died at the store and a fifth, Pablo Luis L., 24, died at the hospital, with two others identified as Andrés B., 35, and Juan Carlos L., 31.
- Investigators from the Michoacán state prosecutor’s office collected at least 34 .223 and .40 caliber shell casings and have not announced a motive.
