Overview
- The Tiny Desk session, released Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, brought Death Cab's five-member lineup to NPR for a four-song performance filmed at the Tiny Desk in Washington, D.C.
- The band opened with two tracks from its June album I Built You a Tower — "Pep Talk" and "Stone Over Water" — then played "Title and Registration" and "Soul Meets Body" from earlier records.
- Ben Gibbard has framed the new album as an exploration of loss and said "Pep Talk" was written "in the thick of these things" as a plea for support when he is struggling.
