DDA Housing Sales Double as Narela Drives ₹1,020 Crore Q1 Revenue

DDA attributes the surge to improved connectivity from new road projects, a proposed metro corridor plus extended online schemes.

Overview

  • The Delhi Development Authority reported in mid-July that it sold 1,284 flats in Q1 of FY 2026-27 and collected ₹1,020 crore from those sales, more than double the ₹462 crore it reported for the same quarter a year earlier.
  • Almost all of the quarter’s sales came from Narela, where the DDA sold 1,153 flats, representing nearly 90% of the total transactions for the period.
  • Sales covered all income groups with 336 EWS, 322 LIG, 435 MIG and 191 HIG units sold, and the middle-income group accounted for the largest share at about 34%.
  • The DDA said the strong uptake was driven by planned and ongoing connectivity projects—including the Urban Extension Road-II and the proposed RithalaNarelaKundli Metro—and by extending online, first-come, first-served schemes until July 31, 2026.
  • The quarter’s results build on DDA’s FY 2025-26 focus on affordable housing and could tighten remaining EWS stock in Narela, push local demand for financing, and test whether sales concentrate in one subcity or spread to other DDA developments.
