DCA Seizes ₹8 Lakh in Drugs, Uncovers Alleged Label Tampering in NTR District

  • Medicines worth about ₹4 lakh were confiscated from the licensed Vijayawada premises over alleged alteration of expiry dates on nine drug varieties.
  • Separate checks in Jaggaiahpet and Penuganchiprolu netted roughly ₹4 lakh in drugs from three unlicensed outlets reportedly run by RMPs.
  • The operation, led by inspectors K. V. Bhupesh and A. Krishna under Assistant Director P. Sriram Murthy, proceeded under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, with no arrests reported in the release.
