D.C. Police Identify Victim in Foggy Bottom Hit-and-Run, Seek Jeep Wrangler Driver

• Police identified the pedestrian as Dawn Ciccone, 61, who was struck in a marked crosswalk at 23rd and L streets NW and later died at a hospital.
• Investigators say a 2026 Jeep Wrangler traveling south in the middle lane passed cars queued in a left-turn lane and then turned left from the through lane into the crosswalk.
• The driver kept going after the impact, and detectives are searching for the Jeep and its driver.
