Overview
- Richard announced Creole Culture on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, releasing the new single “Enough,” the full tracklist, and initial tour dates.
- The album is set for release on October 9, 2026 via Merge Records and is Richard’s first solo LP in five years.
- Creole Culture was recorded with co-executive producer Katalyst and features guests including Big Freedia, Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph, Tarriona “Tank” Ball, Durand Bernarr, and her father Frank Richard of Chocolate Milk.
- The single “Enough” was shared as a preview of the record and was reported to build on a sample of Sister Nancy’s dancehall classic “Bam Bam.”
- Framed as the concluding volume of a trilogy that began with New Breed (2019) and continued with Second Line (2021), the record centers Richard’s Black and Native American heritage and aims to update New Orleans culture for contemporary pop and R&B audiences while supporting a late-2026 live rollout.
