Dave Coulier Says He’s in Remission From Tongue Cancer and Earlier Lymphoma

An early PET scan caught an HPV-related tongue tumor, a detection he credits with his recovery.

Overview

  • The 66-year-old shared the update on Good Morning America on Feb. 4, saying he is in remission from both cancers.
  • Doctors diagnosed p16-positive oropharyngeal carcinoma at the base of his tongue in October 2025, unrelated to his 2024 stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
  • Treatment included a robotic biopsy and 35 radiation sessions completed Dec. 31, which he said carried harsh physical and emotional side effects.
  • Coulier praised support from his wife Melissa Bring and friend John Stamos, and said he is staying vigilant even in remission.
  • He is urging regular checkups and screenings, noting physicians cited a high curability rate for this cancer type.
