Overview
- Hampshire Police said a post-mortem found Gilly Livie died from a stab wound to the neck.
- On Tuesday, January 20, Daniel Livie, 39, of Winstreet Close in Alton, was charged with murder and with threats to kill over alleged threats on January 8.
- Paramedics and officers found the 68-year-old with serious injuries at a thatched cottage on Hill Houses Lane at about 10:30am on January 9, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
- A 39-year-old man was also found at the address with life-threatening injuries, was taken to hospital, and was arrested on suspicion of murder on January 19 before being moved into police custody.
- Forensic officers examined the Hill Houses Lane cottage as part of the police inquiry.
