Daniel Ingham Killed During Isle of Man TT Qualifying

Organisers have suspended all Sidecar racing to carry out a safety and operational review of the meeting.

Overview

  • The Isle of Man TT confirmed that 33-year-old Daniel Ingham died after a crash at Doran’s Bend on the first lap of Wednesday’s third qualifying session.
  • Race organisers announced the suspension of the Sidecar class for the remainder of the 2026 meeting as they assess safety and race operations.
  • Brothers Ryan and Callum Crowe were injured in a Sidecar crash that red-flagged Wednesday’s evening session and have non-life-threatening injuries in hospital.
  • Maria Costello and passenger Shaun Parker crashed in the Sidecar class earlier in the week and Costello was transferred to Aintree Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
  • Ingham was a decade-long Mountain Course competitor who won the 2024 Senior Manx Grand Prix and his death is the TT’s first rider fatality in two years as officials decide whether the remaining schedule can go ahead.
