- Police discovered the body of 34‑year‑old Dale Mundell inside a suitcase in Borstal Recreation Ground, Rochester, on Friday, 10 July.
- Joshua Miller, 32, was charged with murder and preventing a lawful burial and Jamie Cooper, 27, was charged with preventing a lawful burial; both men were remanded after appearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 13 July.
- Witnesses at a nearby children’s ‘teddy bear hunt’ fundraiser reported the suitcase was covered in flies, and detectives are appealing for anyone with information to contact police with reference CAD 9504/9JUL.
