Cyberabad Leads Hyderabad’s Early Bird Property Tax Drive With ₹510 Crore

Verification points to untapped revenue from unassessed properties.

  • Municipal authorities reported final Early Bird totals for FY 2026–27, with Cyberabad at ₹510.33 crore, GHMC at ₹441.88 crore, MMC at ₹260.23 crore, and urban local bodies outside the region at ₹252 crore under the early collection drive.
  • Year over year, Cyberabad rose by ₹70.48 crore to post about 16 percent growth, Malkajgiri increased by ₹20.06 crore to about 8.34 percent, GHMC climbed from ₹416.68 crore, and ULBs outside the core area grew from ₹204.05 crore.
  • Within Cyberabad, receipts were concentrated in high‑value circles with Madhapur at ₹95 crore, Serilingampally at ₹81.9 crore, and Kukatpally at ₹53.93 crore, with officials also citing strong payments from Miyapur, Ameenpur, Kompally, and Jeedimetla.
  • In GHMC, Jubilee Hills led with ₹79.14 crore followed by Khairatabad at ₹75.37 crore and Ameerpet at ₹43.86 crore, while in Malkajgiri the leaders were Saroornagar at ₹30.14 crore, Bowenpally at ₹26.46 crore, and Nagole at ₹24.43 crore.
  • Officials said collections typically rise with new property assessments and that verification shows assessments could increase by about 30 percent if all properties are brought under the tax net, which could further lift revenues in future drives.
