Cupra Adds $7,600 Extreme Package to Leon VZe Sportstourer in Australia

The build-to-order upgrade answers customer demand for a rarer, performance-focused PHEV wagon.

Overview

  • For an extra $7,600, the Extreme Package adds Brembo four-piston front brakes, side skirts, an extended rear spoiler, Matrix ultra high-beam headlights, CUP bucket seats and dark gloss interior trim.
  • The option is available exclusively to order and is added to the Leon VZe Sportstourer’s $69,990 list price, taking it to $77,590 before on-road costs.
  • The package does not alter the plug-in hybrid setup, which remains at 200 kW and 400 Nm with a 20 kWh battery, up to 121 km WLTP electric range, and 11 kW AC/50 kW DC charging.
  • Cupra positions the Leon VZe Sportstourer as Australia’s most affordable PHEV wagon in a shrinking field that includes the Audi A5 e‑Hybrid and BMW M5 Touring.
  • Drive reports the CUP bucket seats remove the front-centre airbag, so this configuration is not covered by the range’s five-star ANCAP rating based on 2020 testing.
