Overview
- Multiple short closures are scheduled across Cumbria, beginning Monday 29 June and running into early July, covering Rakesmoor Lane, a 10-working-day drainage scheme at How Mill, utility works on the U1218/U3003 near Stockdalewath, and a one-day B5285 surface-dressing closure.
- Rakesmoor Lane in the Barrow area will be closed to all traffic from Monday 29 June for about five days with a signed diversion via Bank Lane and the A590 available to drivers.
- Cumberland Council will close the road outside Glenburn at How Mill, Fenton for drainage works from Monday 29 June until Friday 10 July with no vehicle access to properties during works and pedestrian and emergency access maintained.
- Westmorland and Furness Council has issued a public notice for utility works on the U1218 and U3003 that come into effect on 7 July, will cover specific 900m and 450m sections and are expected to take roughly four days while pedestrians and dismounted cyclists keep access.
- The one-day B5285 closure for surface dressing between Lake Bank Coach House and the Windermere ferry is set for 8 July as part of a £3.4 million programme treating 67 miles and residents are urged to use published diversion routes, hotlines and one.network for live updates.
