CSA Confirms India’s December ODIs and One-Off Test in South Africa, Australia Tour Set for 2027

Overview

  • India’s visit is set for three ICC Women’s Championship ODIs on December 9, 12 and 15 in Potchefstroom, Bloemfontein and Cape Town, followed by a four-day Test in Gqeberha from December 20 to 23.
  • The ODI leg contributes points to the 2025–29 ICC Women’s Championship, influencing pathways to the next Women’s Cricket World Cup.
  • The Gqeberha Test is a rarity, marking only the fourth India–South Africa women’s red-ball meeting and the venue’s second women’s Test since 1960.
  • India will also tour earlier for a five-match T20I series from April 17 to 27, 2026 as part of build-up to the Women’s T20 World Cup.
  • Australia’s multi-format tour is locked in for March 18 to April 11, 2027, featuring three T20Is, three ODIs and a Potchefstroom Test from April 8 to 11, which CSA bills as part of a “blockbuster” home summer.
