Overview
- Crunchyroll confirmed Friday that it has secured international streaming rights for Kagurabachi and will simulcast the series outside Japan, Mainland China, North Korea and South Korea at its April 2027 broadcast.
- Producers announced veteran voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi will play Togo Shiba and released a character trailer and visual that include Konishi’s comments on the role.
- A Kagurabachi Anime World Tour Part 1 will screen roughly 20 minutes of episode one at major conventions, beginning with a world premiere event at Anime Expo and continuing to Japan Expo, AnimagiC, Otakon and Anime NYC.
- The anime is produced by CyberAgent’s Cypic with director Tetsuya Takeuchi and character designer Keigo Sasaki, and it adapts Takeru Hokazono’s Weekly Shonen Jump manga, which has exceeded four million copies in circulation.
- Producers say additional cast, regional partners for excluded Asian markets and a full promotional and trailer schedule will be announced later, a rollout that could shape further licensing deals and fan interest ahead of the TV debut.
