Crimson Desert Patch 1.12 Expands Housing and Upgrades Side Characters

Rapid content drops add outdoor decoration plus system fixes to ready the game for a planned paid expansion.

Overview

  • Pearl Abyss released patch 1.12 on June 19 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S that enables decorating the area outside player houses and adds 58 new furnishing items plus two crafting stations called the Workstation and the Loom.
  • The update upgrades secondary playable characters by letting Damiane and Oongka equip Visiones, read memories, use a new sit animation, and mount the dragon Blackstar so they function more like the lead character.
  • Patch 1.12 reduces game start-up load times and adds new cosmetics, including five headgear pieces and an armor set for Kliff, new gloves for Damiane, and a Greymane Signet accessory for all three characters.
  • Hours after the content drop Pearl Abyss issued hotfix 1.12.01 (update 1.000.354) to fix problems such as outdoor furniture disappearing and other platform-specific bugs while documenting remaining known issues that will be tracked in future patches.
  • Pearl Abyss has mapped free updates through the summer and said it is developing a "substantively different" paid DLC, a strategy that aims to broaden Crimson Desert toward life-sim housing systems and to improve side-character content for players.
