Crimson Desert Patch 1.08.00 Adds Tameable Baby Wyverns and New Tool Slot

Pearl Abyss is pressing its surprise-update strategy to broaden player progression with a registerable Baby Wyvern pet that the studio says will evolve into flying mounts in a future patch.

Overview

  • Patch 1.08.00 is live across platforms and registers Baby Wyverns as tamable pets while Pearl Abyss says a future update will let those pets grow into flying mounts.
  • Players can temporarily ride wild Wyverns after subduing them, giving an immediate, short-term way to use draconic creatures in the field.
  • The update adds a dedicated tool slot so tools like axes, shovels and drills no longer occupy secondary weapon space and introduces pond management with permanent legendary fish collectibles.
  • Combat and class changes include Kliff gaining access to muskets and shotguns and new skills for Damiane and Oongka, paired with broad quality-of-life, UI, graphics and performance fixes.
  • The release continues Pearl Abyss’s fast live-ops cadence of surprise patches that respond to player feedback on issues such as the story dragon’s long cooldown by iterating systems and adding new progression paths.
