Overview
- To mine, equip a pickaxe, aim with Ctrl or L1/LB until the reticle turns blue, then strike with left mouse or R1/RB to break the vein.
- Each ore vein drops two pieces that you must pick up, and successfully mined spots place a marker on your map for return trips.
- Rhett’s Request gives you a pickaxe and an iron-node marker, and completion grants an inventory slot expansion, Contribution, and lets you keep the tool.
- Turn in the mined ore to Rhett’s Assistant at the Equinsher Saddlery south of the site rather than returning to Rhett in town.
- Early iron and copper are clustered around Howling Hill in the Hernand Highlands, while diamonds, gold, and garnet are typically found inside caves such as Hernand Highlands Cavern and Anvil Hill.
