Crimson Desert Explains How to Advance Time: Beds, Bonfires, and Quest Prompts

Time changes only at in-world spots using fixed 3-, 6- or 12-hour jumps under a fatigue-driven cooldown.

Overview

  • Players can advance the clock by sleeping in any unoccupied bed, resting at a campfire or bonfire, or using a context prompt when a quest giver is absent.
  • At fires, focus on the bonfire (L1 on PS5 or LB on Xbox), select the Wait option (X on PS5 or A on Xbox), then pick 3, 6, or 12 hours after seeing Cook, Off, and Wait.
  • Time cannot be changed from a main menu option, so progression requires interacting with beds or bonfires found in the world.
  • A rest cooldown prevents spamming waits, with the Wait option greyed out until Kliff builds fatigue through travel, combat, or the passage of time.
  • Quest markers can offer a prompt to jump to the right hour for NPC availability, which is triggered with ESC on PC or the Start/Menu button on consoles.
