Crime Branch Kashmir Files Chargesheet Against 17 in J&K Health Recruitment Scam
The case stems from alleged manipulation of a 2010 government order to create phantom posts in Bandipora.
Overview
- The Economic Offences Wing submitted the chargesheet in FIR No. 07/2013 before the Special Anti-Corruption Judge in Baramulla.
- Those charged include a chief medical officer, a block medical officer, doctors, office staff and 12 beneficiary employees.
- Investigators say forged transfer and appointment orders were used to place individuals in non-existent posts at PHC Chuntimullah, PHC Ashtangoo, SDH Bandipora and PHC Sheikhpora Gurez.
- The accused face IPC sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B and 201, along with Section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
