- Cricket Australia announced on Thursday that India-born Jerrssis Wadia will join the CA XI to play a three-day match against the touring Bangladesh Test team in Darwin from August 6–8.
- The Men’s Development Squad, which includes Aryan Sharma, will attend the MRF Academy program in Chennai and play two two-day matches on spin-friendly wickets on August 5–6 and August 10–11.
- Tim Nielsen will lead the CA XI coaching group in Darwin while Tim Paine and Anthony Clark will oversee the Development Squad in Chennai.
- The CA XI list features 14 players including Campbell Kellaway, Jake Doran, Josh Philippe and Kurtis Patterson, and the Development Squad includes players such as Doug Warren, Lloyd Pope and Jason Sangha.
- Cricket Australia routinely uses CA XI fixtures and the MRF Academy pathway to give emerging players match experience and specialized coaching that can reveal readiness for higher-level international selection.
