- Cheshire Police confirmed Friday that all 10 suspects arrested in the Crewe operation were questioned and then released on bail with conditions.
- Officers have applied for Slavery and Trafficking Risk Orders for five suspects, which are civil measures that can place extra restrictions to manage risk, with hearings due in magistrates’ court today.
- Following Wednesday’s 8:50 a.m. raid by more than 500 officers, warrants were executed at three addresses in Crewe, including Webb House, where the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light is based.
- The inquiry focuses on alleged serious sexual offences, forced marriage and modern slavery against one female member in 2023, after a complaint was made in March.
- Searches and safeguarding continue with welfare support in place for about 56 homeschooled children at Webb House, international agencies are assisting, and 25 people have been charged over separate public order offences during the raids.
