- CPI state secretary M. Veerapandian spoke to reporters on Monday and offered unconditional legislative support to the newly formed TVK government while urging that sexual crimes against women and children be tackled with an "iron hand".
- The party welcomed TVK’s decision to give one government job to a family member of each Karur stampede victim and said those appointments will be formalised during Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s visit to Karur on July 10.

- The party announced a nationwide padayatra from August 6 to 15 to press socio-economic demands and said the outreach will culminate in a large New Delhi rally, while also criticising the Tamil Nadu Governor’s recent review meeting in Madurai as overreach.
