Court Orders Domodedovo’s Former Owners to Pay Over 3 Billion Rubles

Prosecutors say the sum covers unpaid taxes, fees, insurance contributions and fines.

Overview

  • Domodedovsky City Court ruled to recover more than 3 billion rubles from Dmitry Kamenshchik and Valery Kogan on a joint basis after a claim initiated by the Federal Tax Service at prosecutors’ request.
  • The General Prosecutor’s Office said it will oversee enforcement once the judgment enters into force.
  • Separately, Kamenshchik filed a cassation appeal on October 27 challenging earlier rulings that transferred control of Domodedovo to the state.
  • A June decision ordered 100% of DME Holding, which owns the airport’s assets, into state ownership, a ruling that was upheld on appeal in September and entered into immediate execution.
  • Prosecutors also reported blocking a planned 18.5 billion ruble loan transfer linked to the former beneficiary, and courts earlier rejected the ex-owners’ complaints against a temporary travel ban.
