Overview
- An Islamabad district and sessions court on Sept. 29 issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Ali Amin Gandapur in an audio leak case after he failed to appear, with the hearing adjourned to Nov. 5 by ADSJ Nasr Minallah Baloch.
- In a separate liquor and weapons recovery matter, Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti last week ordered existing warrants to remain in effect following Gandapur’s absence, with the next hearing set for Oct. 4.
- According to KP adviser Barrister Dr Saif, Gandapur met PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail for more than two hours to review law and order, security and the province’s finances.
- Saif said Khan expressed full confidence in Gandapur, directed coordination with Afghanistan including tribal jirgas, and summoned finance adviser Muzammil Aslam for a detailed budget briefing with plans to contest meeting restrictions.
- Gandapur later told media that vloggers were fueling PTI divisions with support from Khan’s sister Aleema Khan, while noting that reforms and cabinet changes had been discussed with the party founder.
