Couple Killed in Head-On Crash on State Road 350

Indiana State Police say crash reconstruction and toxicology testing are under way to determine why a truck crossed the centerline.

Overview

  • Police say a westbound 2006 Ford F-150 crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound 2017 GMC Terrain in the 8600 block of State Road 350 on Friday evening at about 6 p.m.
  • Jordan and Sierra Walters, both 33, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Dearborn County coroner and the couple’s two young children, who were seated in the back, were injured and taken to area hospitals.
  • The 46-year-old truck driver from Moores Hill suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Cincinnati-area hospital for treatment.
  • The Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team led the probe, closing the road for nearly four hours while investigators collected evidence and awaiting toxicology and other forensic results.
  • Investigators say toxicology testing and reconstruction results will guide whether charges are filed or other findings are released, a process that can take days to weeks and will be shared when complete.
