Counterfeit-Currency Probe in Samba Uncovers Rs 19-Crore Worth of Cocaine

  • Scrutiny of bank records showed balances of roughly Rs 18 lakh in J&K Bank and Rs 2.40 lakh in PNB, prompting the SSP Samba to constitute a special investigation team.
  • Police identified the accused as a driver residing in Sunjwan and said he disclosed during questioning that he had been selling cocaine for a long time.
  • In a separate action the same morning, Udhampur police arrested two people at Chenani and seized about 55 grams of heroin during a vehicle check.
