Overview
- The closure, which runs Sunday from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m., covers both directions from Calle Virú in San Miguel to Av. Defensores del Morro in Chorrillos.
- All access ramps across San Miguel, Magdalena del Mar, San Isidro, Miraflores, Barranco and Chorrillos are shut, with traffic moved off the beach road to higher-ground routes.
- Drivers are advised to use Costanera, Bertoloto, Brasil, Javier Prado and the Vía Expresa north–south, and Chorrillos, Pedro de Osma, Miguel Grau, Reducto, José Pardo and La Paz south–north.
- The race is underway at Playa Agua Dulce with a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21.1 km run, a 6:15 a.m. start, and free viewing in designated spectator areas.
- More than 1,200 athletes from dozens of countries are competing for age‑group qualifying slots to the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice, with police, municipal teams and medical crews coordinating operations.
