Corey Heim Wins Martinsville, Truck Series Championship 4 Set on Tiebreaker

An overtime finish produced a tiebreaker that sent Kaden Honeycutt to Phoenix after Corey Heim swept Martinsville.

Overview

  • Heim swept both stages, led 77 laps and won the Slim Jim 200 in overtime for his 11th victory of the season.
  • Honeycutt finished second and advanced over Layne Riggs on a points tie resolved by best finish in the round.
  • Ty Majeski (seventh) and Tyler Ankrum (ninth) also moved on to the Oct. 31 title race at Phoenix Raceway.
  • Riggs took the pole but lost track position after a Lap 29 missed shift, while Rajah Caruth crashed after contact cut his left-rear tire.
  • Daniel Hemric battled overheating, a restart penalty and later retired with mechanical issues, as Grant Enfinger’s 12th-place finish was not enough to stay in contention.
