- The consultation runs from November 28, 2025 to 5pm on January 23, 2026 via New Forest District Council’s consultation webpage.
- Proposals cover six areas: biodiversity, energy efficiency, conservation, support for local shops, brownfield sites and an Area of Special Character.
- Nine existing policies are set to be retained and nine are flagged for review in the revised draft.
- Paper copies are available at New Forest District Council’s Appletree Court in Lyndhurst and the New Forest National Park Authority’s Lymington Town Hall, with submissions also accepted by email at policyandplans@nfdc.gov.uk.
- Councillor Derek Tipp said resident feedback will test whether the draft addresses local priorities and will guide development to meet New Milton’s needs before any referendum decision.
