Overview
- Police say the crash occurred just before 11 p.m. on Feb. 6 at East Tremont Avenue and Monterey Avenue in the Tremont section of the Bronx.
- Abner Rosa Blanco, 42, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, was identified as the driver of the westbound white van that left the roadway.
- The van struck a 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman standing outside a business before coming to a stop against a building.
- Footage shows the vehicle hitting a pole, a sign and a trash can, and nearby storefronts sustained visible damage, including a shattered barbershop window.
- Blanco was arrested on a DWI charge, was not injured, and police said the investigation remains ongoing.
