Congress Overhauls Himachal Unit With New PAC, Executive and Disciplinary Teams

- The All India Congress Committee approved the revamp Saturday with immediate effect, restoring a full state leadership 18 months after dissolving the previous body in November 2024.
- The party constituted a 26-member Political Affairs Committee that includes Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Pratibha Singh and Mukesh Agnihotri, with the panel serving as the top state forum for political and organisational decisions and for party–government coordination.
- An executive committee is in place that names 12 vice-presidents and 27 general secretaries and includes senior figures such as CM Sukhu, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri, Anand Sharma and Pratibha Singh, with Madan Chaudhary appointed treasurer.
- Kuldeep Singh Rathore will chair the disciplinary action committee for the Himachal Pradesh Congress.
- The Congress also named state social media heads in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Odisha, Haryana and Maharashtra, including Shalini Singh and Gurjot Singh Dhindsa, in a push to strengthen digital outreach.
