Commodore 77 Is a Cyberpunk 2077–Branded C64 Ultimate With a Faster FPGA

Shipping in early 2027, the limited run bundles an exclusive Arasaka demo on a themed cartridge for collectors.

Overview

  • Commodore and CD PROJEKT RED announced the Commodore 77 on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, and the unit is available for pre-order at commodore.net for $377.
  • The Commodore 77 uses a larger AMD Artix‑7 XC7A100T FPGA that Commodore says will reach 77 MHz, a claimed increase over the prior Ultimate model.
  • The package includes an exclusive non-interactive 'Arasaka' demo produced by Polish demo group Arise with a LukHash chiptune soundtrack that uses the system's 24-channel SID audio and a 2MB cartridge.
  • Physically the special edition features Cyberpunk-themed touches such as a scuffed yellow breadbin shell, smoked translucent base with controllable RGB LEDs, a themed BASIC 2.0 boot screen, and collectible packaging.
  • Commodore presents the C77 as its first franchise hardware partnership and as a signal that the revived brand will pursue niche collector products and franchise tie‑ins rather than mass-market devices.
