- On July 30, Comey’s defense filed motions accusing federal investigators of misleading magistrates, withholding key facts and seeking warrants on incomplete information.
- Defence papers say investigators searched FBI Sentinel files and archival trial transcripts, interviewed mob figure Salvatore Gravano and relied on a source called “Person-1” whose motives and recent contact with Comey are disputed.
