Coinhouse Gets MiCA PSCA Authorization and EU Passporting

Early approval gives the Paris firm legal continuity in France plus a single EU license it can use to roll out services across member states before the July 1, 2026 cutoff.

Overview

  • Coinhouse received full Crypto Asset Service Provider (PSCA) authorization from France’s AMF in May 2026, a move the AMF whitelist now shows as active.
  • The authorization covers seven services including brokerage, custody, transfers, investment advice, and crypto portfolio management.
  • Coinhouse upgraded from its 2020 PSAN registration after a multi-year compliance effort that was advised by law firm De Gaulle Fleurance.
  • With PSCA status Coinhouse gains EU passporting, which it says it will use to expand regulated offerings to retail, corporate and institutional clients in other member states.
  • MiCA replaces national PSAN rules and requires providers to hold PSCA authorization by July 1, 2026 or stop serving French clients and face criminal and large administrative fines.
