Overview
- CME Group, via CF Benchmarks, added ENA to its single-asset benchmark suite on Aug. 24, 2026, publishing three regional USD reference rates and matching real-time indices.
- Each reference rate—ENAUSD_RR (London), ENAUSD_NY (New York), and ENAUSD_AP (APAC)—is published daily at 4 p.m. local time, including weekends and holidays, to align pricing with regional operational cutoffs.
- CF Benchmarks will calculate rates from aggregated trades on eligible spot exchanges to limit reliance on any single venue and to provide auditable valuation points for accounting and settlement.
- The launch provides data infrastructure for portfolio managers, fund administrators, OTC desks and product teams to value ENA, manage intraday risk, and settle contracts but does not create ENA futures, options or ETFs.
- Ethena’s recent institutional steps—including a $1 billion secured lending facility with FalconX and integrations such as BlackRock’s Aladdin—likely increase demand for standardized ENA pricing and could make future tradable products more feasible pending separate design and regulatory approval.
