- Cloudflare’s network disruption began in the morning, with user reports and Downdetector showing sharp spikes in errors starting around 9:30–10:00 a.m. ET on Monday, June 22, 2026.
- The company said engineers identified a physical fiber cut in Eastern North America as the primary cause and pointed to problems on some routes operated by transit provider Zayo.
- Cloudflare reported that the issue has been identified and a fix is being deployed while it will carry out scheduled maintenance at its Newark (EWR) datacenter that could force traffic to be rerouted.
