Closures and Detours Roll Out for A143, L38, A73 and A70 Works

Officials urge drivers to follow signed diversions to keep traffic off local roads.

Overview

  • At the Halle-Süd interchange, the ramp from the A143 onto the A38 toward Göttingen is closed, with traffic routed on the A38 toward Leipzig to the Bad Lauchstädt exit to turn back toward Göttingen.
  • On the L38 near Dolle, crews are carrying out a €2.2 million rebuild over about six kilometers through the end of July, and the Brunkauer junction with the L53 is shut through May 31 before the detour shifts via Schernebeck.
  • Drivers on the L38 corridor must use a wide detour via Burgstall, Uchtdorf, Mahlpfuhl, Tangerhütte, Schönwalde and Klein Schwarzlosen, and the ministry recommends the A14 for heavy or faster traffic.
  • At the A73 Buttenheim interchange in Bavaria, the bridge over the motorway is closed for restoration until the end of September, with diversions posted and only partial access available at the interchange.
  • Near Bamberg on the A70, overnight full closures and a Hallstadt ramp shutdown support safety-barrier upgrades and preparation to remove the interchange bridge, with signed detours in place.
