Overview
- Clear River Games announced Thursday that Cotton Reboot! will be released on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 and that Cotton Reboot! High Tension! will reach western PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on October 22.
- The PS5 and Switch 2 versions of Cotton Reboot! and the PS5 and Switch versions of High Tension! will be offered in both physical and digital editions, with a separate PS4 edition listed for High Tension! in the west.
- Both games include presentation choices that preserve the series’ retro look, offering an HD Reboot mode or an X68000 original mode, plus an option to swap between the original X68000 soundtrack and a remixed score.
- Clear River Games says High Tension! builds on the prior reboot by keeping classic abilities like Fire Dragon and Lighting while adding tougher enemy attacks, hidden-magic score mechanics, and a revamped Fever system called Willow Fever.
