- Clark County commissioners approved the permits and land-use reviews Wednesday, giving developer Eli Applebaum formal county permission to move the proposal past a key local hurdle.
- The revised plan calls for a 29-story hotel with about 752 rooms, a giant heart-shaped opening wrapped in LED screens, a casino, more than 42,000 square feet of convention space, retail and a covered pedestrian plaza.
- The proposal preserves the two existing SkyVue concrete support columns, adds a third column, and would convert them into a 265-foot-high suspended restaurant that anchors the design.
- Applebaum trimmed the original room count and tower height to satisfy the Federal Aviation Administration, and the developer’s land-use representative reported the FAA has approved the revised design.
