Overview
- Chief Justice of India Surya Kant offered prayers during his first visit to the Sri Venkateswara Temple after taking office and was welcomed with traditional honours and Vedic chants.
- After darshan, he received silk clothes and Theertha Prasadam, with Vedic blessings performed at the Ranganayakula Mandapam.
- Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha also had darshan at the shrine and was honoured with silk clothes and prasadam by TTD officials.
- TTD announced the temple will be closed on March 3 from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the lunar eclipse, with doors shut six hours before the 3:20–6:47 p.m. event and purification rituals before reopening, and darshan resuming at 8:30 p.m.
- SSD tokens will not be issued on March 1–2 for darshan on March 2–3, tokens for March 4 will be issued on March 3, VIP Break Darshan is cancelled on March 3, and recommendation letters will not be accepted on March 2.
