CIP Closes Ørsted’s European Onshore Deal, Launches Perigus Energy

The CIP-backed company starts with 826 MW in place plus a multigigawatt pipeline to speed new local renewables.

  • Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners completed the purchase of Ørsted’s European onshore business and relaunched it as Perigus Energy.
  • Perigus begins with 826 MW either operating or under construction, including 578 MW already installed and 248 MW now being built.
  • Its portfolio supplies power equal to about 600,000 European homes, with five additional projects under construction in Ireland and Germany.
  • Existing contracts and customer power deals remain in place, supported by state support schemes and corporate power purchase agreements, which are long‑term supply contracts with companies.
  • Headquartered in Cork with more than 200 staff across eight European offices, the company will develop onshore wind, solar and battery projects in Ireland, Germany, the UK and Spain.
